SPRINGFIELD — The Tri-Village boys placed fifth and the Tri-Village girls placed sixth at the Springfield Shawnee powerlifting meet on Saturday.
Tri-Village junior Zach Clark won the boys 125-pound weight class by lifting 550 pounds in the bench press, deadlift and squat. Freshman Wyatt Sleppy won the boys 145-pound class by lifting 795 pounds.
Senior Ashley Banis placed second in the girls heavyweight class by lifting 485 pounds. Sophomore Ethan Foster finished second int eh boys 185-pound class by lifting 825 pounds.
Seventh grader Lauren Banis placed third in the girls 175-pound class as she lifted 355 pounds. Ezra Diehl was third in the boys 195-pound class as he lifted 495 pounds.
Eighth grader Aaron Stewart finished third in the boys 125-pound class as he lifted 490 pounds. Freshman Harding Stevenson placed third in the boys 205-pound class as he lifted 500 pounds. Sophomore Dillon Flatter lifted 915 pounds to place third in the 250-pound class.
Both the Bradford boys and girls teams placed second.
Tri-Village will compete next at 10 a.m. Feb. 15 at Kenton.
