FORT RECOVERY — Mississinawa Valley took an early lead on Fort Recovery Thursday but couldn’t muster any more offense as the Blackhawks lost 7-1 in a non-conference baseball game.
MV scored one run in the top half of the first inning but failed to score again while Fort Recovery scored six in the third and one in the sixth for the 7-1 final.
Mississinawa Valley had four hits and three errors in the game. Fort Recovery had nine hits and one error.
Tyler Jenkinson went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored for Mississinawa Valley. Carson Stump and Dalton Rinderle both went 1-for-3 while Tyler Connor was 1-for-2 for MV.
Dane Blumenstock pitched 2.2 innings for the Blackhawks, allowing six earned runs on five hits, three walks and a strikeout. Trent Gilbert pitched 3.1 innings, allowing an unearned run on four hits and three walks.
