FORT LORAMIE — The Versailles softball team notched a pair of double-digit victories in the Fort Loramie Invitational on Saturday in Fort Loramie.


In the first game of the Invitational Versailles run ruled Piqua 13-1 in five innings.


Versailles scored in all five innings, platting three runs in the first, four in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth and three in the fifth. Piqua scored its lone run in the bottom of the fourth.


Versailles had 11 hits and no errors in the game while Piqua had five hits and three errors.


Rachel Wenning pitched the complete game, allowing one run on five hits, no walks and three strikeouts.


Kristin Langston went 2-for-3 with a home run, a stolen base, two RBI and four runs scored for Versailles. Megan Murphy was 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored.


Miranda Huddle went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored. Aimee Powell was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk and two runs scored.


Lauren Heitkamp was 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and two runs scored. Kayla McEldowney went 1-for-4 with a stolen base. Shaena Mayer also had a hit, and Rachel Kremer drove in two runs.


Versailles won its second game of the invitational 12-2 against host Fort Loramie.


Fort Loramie struck first with a run in the bottom of the first, but Versailles scored two runs in the second for a 2-1 lead. The Lady Tigers then added seven runs in the fifth for a 9-1 advantage.


After Fort Loramie scored a run in the bottom half of the fifth inning, Versailles added one in the sixth and two in the seventh for the 12-2 final score.


Versailles had 18 hits and one error in the game, and Fort Loramie had 10 hits and three errors.


Wenning pitched the complete game, allowing two runs on seven hits, two walks and four strikeouts.


Powell was 3-for-4 with two home runs, two runs scored and four RBI against Fort Loraime. Langston went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored.


Kremer was 2-for-5 with a double and a RBI. Murphy went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.


Huddle was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored. Kayla McEldowney went 2-for-5 with a RBI and a run scored.


Courtney McEldowney was 2-for-5 with a RBI and two runs scored. Mayer had a hit and a RBI while Paige Holsapple scored two runs.
