VERSAILLES — Versailles scored in each of the first four innings as the Lady Tigers run ruled Fort Recovery 12-0 in a five-inning Midwest Athletic Conference softball game on Monday in Versailles.
Versailles scored two runs in the first inning, five in the second, two in the third and three in the fourth while holding Fort Recovery scoreless all five innings.
Versailles had nine hits to Fort Recovery’s four. Versailles made just two errors to Fort Recovery’s seven.
Rachel Wenning pitched the complete game for Versailles, allowing no runs on four hits, no walks and seven strikeouts in five innings.
Aimee Powell was 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for Versailles. Kayla McEldowney went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI.
Miranda Huddle was 3-for-3 with a walk, two stolen bases, three runs scored and a RBI. Kristin Langston went 1-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.
Courtney McEldowney was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored. Rachel Kremer was 1-for-4 with a RBI.
Versailles improved to 10-7 with the win.
