PITSBURG — The Franklin Monroe baseball team beat Bradford 7-6 on Monday in a Cross County Conference baseball game.


Bradford struck first with a run in the top half of the first, but Franklin Monroe tied the game in the bottom of the second. Both teams scored two runs in the third for a 3-3 score.


Franklin Monroe took its first lead in the bottom of the fourth, and Bradford tied the game at 4-4 in the fifth. The Jets scored three runs in the sixth inning for a 7-4 advantage, and the Railroaders’ rally fell short as they scored two runs in the seventh for the 7-6 final score.


Franklin Monroe had nine hits and three errors in the game. Bradford had six hits and one error.


Sam Napier was the winning pitcher for FM as he pitched the complete game, allowing three earned runs and three unearned runs on six hits, three walks and four strikeouts.


Craig Wyan was the losing pitcher for Bradford as he went two innings, allowing three earned runs on three hits, two walks and four strikeouts.


Brandon Wysong pitched two innings and allowed one earned run on two hits, one walk and four strikeouts. Mikey Barga pitched the other two innings and allowed two earned runs and one unearned run on four hits, two walks and five strikeouts.


Napier helped his cause on offense as he was 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk and three RBI. Zach Hyre was 3-for-4 with a double, two stolen bases and three runs scored.


Ross Burnett went 3-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored. Daniel Wiseman was 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs scored and a RBI.


Justin Bingham walked twice, stole a base and drove in a run. Nick Lavy also had a RBI for the Jets.


For Bradford Mason Justice was 2-for-4 with a stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored. Wysong went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, a stolen base, a RBI and two runs scored.


Bryant Apple was 1-for-1 with a double. TJ Pullins was 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored. Barga and Wyan both drove in a run.
