MINSTER — The Versailles baseball team lost a Midwest Athletic Conference game 3-2 to Minster on Tuesday.

Minster scored first with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the second inning. Versailles tied the game at 2-2 in the fourth, but Minster scored the game-winning run in the fifth.

Minster out-hit Versailles five to four. The Tigers made two errors while the Wildcats made none.

Dan Borchers was the losing pitcher for Versailles ad he went three innings and allowed one unearned run on three hits, no walks and no strikeouts. Starting pitcher Austin Knapke went three innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits, four walks and two strikeouts.

Jake Wenning led the Tiger offense as he was 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. Mike Davidson and Kyle Subler both walked once and scored a run. Jace Barga, Borchers and Brett McEldowney also had hits.

Versailles fell to 11-11 with the loss.
