MINSTER — The Versailles boys golf team shot a 338 and finished fourth out of 12 teams in the New Bremen Cardinal Invitational on Tuesday at Arrowhead Golf Club in Minster.
Minster won the invitational by shooting a 329, and St. Marys finished second with a 331. Versailles and Wapakoneta both shot a 338 with Wapak coming in third by virtue of a tiebreaker.
Russia finished fifth with a 345, Anna was sixth with a 355, New Bremen placed seventh with a 365, Fort Loramie was eighth with a 378, Jackson Center finished ninth with a 404, Lehman Catholic finished 10th with a 404 as it lost a tiebreaker to Jackson Center, New Knoxville placed 11th with a 463, and Houston was 12th with a 495.
Nicholas Litten-Stonebraker, Jacob Watren and Kyle Cotner led Versailles as they each shot an 84 for the 18-hole round. Also for the Tigers, Griffen Riegle shot an 86, Kyle Christian shot an 108, and Michael Hemmelgarn shot a 109.
