VERSAILLES — The Versailles boys golf team suffered its first Midwest Athletic Conference loss of the season in a 158-164 defeat against Minster at Stillwater Valley Golf Club.


Jacob Watren led Versailles with a nine-hole round of 39. Also for the Tigers, Nicholas Litten-Stonebraker shot a 40, Kyle Cotner shot a 41, Griffen Riegle shot a 44, Michael Hemmelgarn shot a 54, P.J. Platfoot shot a 55, Alec Ahrens shot a 62, and Kyle Christian shot a 64.


Minster’s Austin Brachman was the match medalist with a two-over-par 37. Also for the Wildcats, Xavier Francis shot a 38, Sam Schutte shot a 39, Matt Trueshaw shot a 44, Chip Perryman shot a 44, Gunner Blake shot a 45, Sam Bornhorst shot a 47, and Jordan Brachham shot a 48.


Versailles’ overall and MAC records both fell to 1-1 with the loss.
