GREENVILLE — The Greenville girls tennis team’s winning streak was snapped at five matches as the Lady Wave lost 5-0 to Northmont on Wednesday.
At first singles Northmont’s Akilah Parker beat Greenville’s Raquel Navas-Davis 6-0, 6-2. Greenville’s Madison Bixler lost in second singles to Marissa Anderson 6-3, 6-0. The Lady Wave’s Abby Monnin lost 6-2, 6-4 in third singles to Kennedy Harden.
In first doubles the Wave’s Holly Cameron and Mallory Rich lost 6-4, 6-3 to Hailey Weaver and Michelle Hibbard. Greenville’s Bavi Kaur and Erin Scott lost in second doubles 7-6, 6-3 to Emily Molen and Amari McCain.
Greenville fell to 5-2 on the season with the loss while Northmont improved to 5-1.
In junior varsity action Molly Hunt won a singles match while the doubles teams of Paige Flory and Larisa Schmitmeyer, Stacey Strobel and Amber Hutt, Alison Baughman and Hannah Gulley, Lynsie Siegle and Paige Ross, and Saige Halberg and Chloe Graves all won.
