CINCINNATI — Craig Stammen got a taste of home this past weekend with numerous friends and family visiting, but they didn’t get to see him pitch.Stammen and the rest of the Washington Nationals visited Cincinnati for a three-game series against the Reds this past weekend. Two years ago I had the privilege of walking in a local Labor Day Parade. Directly behind the group I was with, a church had a float. On the float a man was on a cross. He had white cloth around his midsection, red paint over much of his body and a crown of thorns upon his head; obviously, a representation of Jesus dying on the cross.
