Versailles girls win Tour de Sewer

VERSAILLES — Madison Grilliot and Murphy Grow finished first and second Saturday, helping lead the Versailles girls cross country team to the team championship in Versailles’ Tour de Sewer.Grilliot won the girls race in a time of 20:42.8 while Grow finished second overall in 20:50.4 to pace the Lady Tigers. Kenia McEldowney also finished in the top five for Versailles as she was fourth in 21:17.4.The Versailles boys also had a strong day as Richie Ware finished second in 17:30.9 and Joe Spitzer finished fourth in 18:03.0 to guide the Tigers to a runner up finish behind St. Henry. Spencer Schulze led St. Henry to the championship as he won the race in 17:18.3.
