Tri-Village boys basketball team earns No. 1 seed in OHSAA sectional tournament

DARKE COUNTY – Tri-Village earned a No. 1 seed in the Ohio High School Athletic Association boys basketball sectional tournament.

Tri-Village (17-3) is the top seeded team in the Division IV Troy sectional. The Patriots will play 12th seeded Tri-County North (2-18) at 11 a.m. Feb. 20 in Troy to begin the playoffs.

The Ansonia, Bradford and Mississinawa Valley boys basketball teams all are in the Division IV Piqua sectional.

Mississinawa Valley (12-7) earned the sixth seed in the Piqua sectional and will play seventh seeded Houston (6-13) at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 19 in Piqua.

Ansonia (4-16) is the 11th seed in the Piqua sectional and will play top seeded Jackson Center (17-3) at 7 p.m. Feb. 20 in Piqua.

Bradford (2-16) earned the 13th seed in the Piqua sectional and will play second seeded Russia (17-3) at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 19 in Piqua.

Greenville (11-8) earned the 10th seed in the Division I Centerville sectional. The Green Wave will play 15th seeded Belmont (5-15) at 8 p.m. Feb. 20 at Vandalia-Butler in the opening round of the postseason.

Arcanum and Versailles both are in the Division III Belmont sectional and will play each other in the first round of the tournament. Versailles (15-5) is the third seed and Arcanum (5-14) is the 17th seed. They will play each other at 5 p.m. Feb. 20 at Belmont.

Franklin Monroe (9-10) earned the 11th seed in the Division III Northmont sectional and will play 12th seeded Dixie (9-10) at 6 p.m. Feb. 20 at Northmont in the first round of the playoffs.
