Greenville boys tennis team sweeps Eaton


EATON – The Greenville boys tennis team swept Eaton 5-0 on Wednesday.

The closest match of the day came at first doubles where Greenville’s Alex Lance and Tyler Davis beat Aaron Tolliver and Branson Ball 4-6, 6-1, 7-5. In second doubles the Green Wave’s Austin Grote and Josh Smith beat Andrew Collins and Cody Frizzell 6-1, 6-3.

In first singles Greenville’s Noah Haupt beat Brad Kramer 6-1, 6-2. In the second singles match the Wave’s Craig Manges beat Breven Perry 6-0, 6-1. In third singles Greenville’s Quintin Muhlenkamp beat Dylan Hauser 6-3, 6-3.

Greenville improved to 9-5 with the win while Eaton fell to 5-8.

Greenville’s junior varsity boys tennis team defeated Eaton 4-1. Max Onkst, Aaron Lobenstein and Bryan Day all won in singles while the duo of Ryan Clefford and Jayce Lovett won in doubles.
