ANSONIA – The Ansonia softball team beat Dixie 7-6 in nine innings on Saturday.
Shelby Hartzell earned the win for Ansonia.
Jailyn Thwaits had a single, a double and two RBIs for the Tigers. Molly Waters had a single, a double and scored two runs. Hartzell had a single, a triple and three RBIs.
The second game of was originally was scheduled as a doubleheader was rained out.
