Versailles’ Josh Steinbrunner qualifies for OHSAA state track and field meet

LEXINGTON – Versailles’ Josh Steinbrunner earned a spot at the Ohio High School Athletic Association state track and field meet with his performance in the Division II regionals at Lexington High School.

Steinbrunner qualified for state in the 110 meter hurdles as he finished fourth in the regional with a time of 14.89.

Other Versailles athletes finished outside of the top four in their events at the regional meet and didn’t qualify for state.

Joe Spitzer claimed a spot on the podium in the 3,200 meter run as he finished fifth in a time of 10:02.10.

Versailles’ quartet of Trevor Noggle, Noah Pleiman, Brooks Blakeley and Joe Spitzer made the podium by finishing seventh in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 8:19.91.

Noah Pleiman earned a spot on the podium by finishing seventh in the 1,600 meter run in a time of 4:33.27.

Josh Steinbrunner finished ninth in the preliminaries of the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 41.28.

Adam Huelskamp finished 13th in the preliminaries of the 200 meter dash in 23.51.

Versailles’ quartet of Trevor Noggle, Cory Rose, Aaron Mangen and Adam Huelskamp finished 13th in the preliminaries of the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 3:35.89.

Versailles’ team of Blake Schulze, Trevor Noggle, Kyle Marchal and Adam Huelskamp finished 14th in the preliminaries of the 4×200 meter relay in a time of 1:36.30.

Josh Steinbrunner now will run in the preliminaries of the boys 110 meter hurdles at 2:10 p.m. June 3 at The Ohio State University’s Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus. The event finals are scheduled for 1:05 p.m. June 4.
