ANSONIA – Ansonia and Bradford split their junior high volleyball matches on Monday with Bradford winning the eighth grade match and Ansonia winning the seventh grade match.
Bradford won the eighth grade match 21-25, 25-19, 25-19. Bradford’s Buzz Brewer had nine aces, four assists and two kills. Cassi Mead had eight kills, five assists and three aces. Maggie Manuel had three aces, two kills and one block. Kendall Hill had two aces and three kills. Abby Gade had a kill and an assist. Emma Canan had two aces.
Ansonia won the seventh grade match 19-25, 26-24, 25-18. For Bradford Abby Fike had six aces, three kills and one assist. Ally Wackler had five kills and an ace. Rylee Canan had two aces and seven assists. Zoe Brewer had four aces and one kill. Nylani Beireis had three aces and a kill. Maddie Simons had one kill. Macy Bubeck had an ace.
