UNION CITY – Mississinawa Valley beat Arcanum 40-32 in eighth grade boys basketball Thursday night.
Mississinawa Valley took a 14-6 lead in the first quarter, and Arcanum reduced its deficit to 20-16 in the second quarter. Arcanum went up 29-26 in the third quarter, but Mississinawa came back for the 8-point victory.
Leevi Ward led Mississinawa Valley with 10 points in the game. Also for the Blackhawks, Wyatt Feltner scored 9 points, Blayne Johnson scored 9, Caiden Beanbloosom scored 6, Zack Conner scored 3, and Trey Godfrey scored 3.
