COLDWATER – The Tri-Village boys basketball team won 52-44 at Coldwater on Saturday night.

Tri-Village led 18-13 at the end of the first quarter and 30-23 at halftime. The Cavaliers cut the Patriot lead to 37-35 in the third quarter, but Tri-Village pulled out an 8-point victory.

Gavin Richards led Tri-Village with a game-high 24 points. Also for the Patriots, Trace Couch scored 16 points, Jared Buckley scored 7, Trey Frech scored 3, and Dillon McCullough scored 2. Couch had a double-double by also pulling down 11 rebounds.

Dylan Thobe led Coldwater with 13 points. Also for the Cavaliers, Neal Muhlenkamp scored 11 points, Derek Albers scored 6, Marcus Bruns scored 5, Sam Broering scored 4, Cole Frilling scored 3, and Mitch Balster scored 2.

Tri-Village improved to 13-6 with the win while Coldwater fell to 9-10.
