Mississinawa Valley softball team loses to Jackson Center

UNION CITY – The Mississinawa Valley softball team lost 7-1 to Jackson Center on Monday.

Jackson Center took a 3-0 lead with two runs in the third inning and one in the fourth. After Mississinawa Valley scored one run in the bottom of the fourth, Jackson Center scored four in the sixth to win 7-1.

Mississinawa had four hits and one error in the game. Jackson Center had 18 hits and no errors.

Kinsie Blocher went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run for Mississinawa Valley. Lindsay Johns was 1-for-3 with a double and a RBI. Makayla Coning also had a hit.

Paxton Scholl pitched the complete game for MV, allowing seven runs on 18 hits, three walks and 11 strikeouts.
