Greenville baseball team loses at Tippecanoe

TIPP CITY – Greenville lost 10-2 to Tippecanoe in a Greater Western Ohio Conference baseball game on Monday.

After Tippecanoe took a 2-0 lead in the first inning Greenville reduced its deficit to 2-1 in the top half of the third inning. Tippecanoe increased its lead to 5-1 in the bottom half of the third inning. Greenville scored its final run in the top of the fourth then Tippecanoe scored one run in the fourth inning and four in the fifth.

Greenville had five hits and four errors. Tippecanoe had six hits and one error.

Greenville’s Brandon Beyke was 2-for-3 with a double, a run and a RBI. Grant Minnich was 1-for-3 with a double and a RBI. Tanner Ross was 1-for-3 and scored a run. Tyler Beyke also went 1-for-3.

Kyle Mills pitched the complete game for Greenville, allowing seven earned runs and three unearned runs on six hits, three walks, two hit batters and two strikeouts.
