Greenville baseball team run ruled by Tippecanoe

GREENVILLE – Tippecanoe run ruled the Greenville baseball team 13-2 in six innings of Greater Western Ohio Conference baseball on Tuesday.

Tippecanoe took a 4-0 lead with two runs in the second inning and three in the third. Greenville cut its deficit to 4-2 in the fourth inning, but Tippecanoe scored seven runs in the fifth inning and two in the sixth to win 13-2.

Greenville had four hits and four errors. Tipp had 13 hits and three errors.

Grant Minnich and Peter Pandey both went 1-for-2 for Greenville. Landon Eldridge and Tanner Ross both were 1-for-3. Jason Shields drove in a run while Logan Eldridge and Garrett Strait both scored a run.

Owen Paulus was charged with the loss for Greenville as he went 4 1/3 innings on the mound, allowing six earned runs and one unearned run on seven hits, one walk, one hit batter and three strikeouts. Pandey pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed five earned runs and one unearned run on six hits, one walk and two hit batters. Cam Kiser pitched 1/3 of an inning and retired the only batter he faced.
