Greenville softball team run rules Trotwood-Madison

GREENVILLE – Greenville’s Caitlin Christman and Courtney Bryson combined to throw a one-hitter in a 12-0 win against Trotwood-Madison on Wednesday.

The Greenville softball team scored two runs in the first inning, seven in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth while holding Trotwood scoreless in the five-inning run rule.

Greenville had 10 hits and two errors on Wednesday while Trotwood-Madison had one hit and five errors.

Christman pitched four scoreless innings, allowing one hit, no walks and striking out four. Bryson pitched one scoreless inning in relief, allowing no hits or walks and striking out one.

Cheyenne Knisley went 2-for-2 with a walk, a RBI and two runs. Tess McClure was 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI. Chloe Sowry was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk and a RBI. Jaida Kelly was 1-for-1 and scored two runs. Haleigh Mayo went 1-for-1 with two walks, a RBI and a run.

Lauren Baughn was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run. Natea Davidson was 1-for-3 with a RBI and a run. Zoe Pressnall was hit by a pitch, walked, scored a run and drove in a run. Megan Johnston scored a run and drove in a run. Madelyn Breig walked twice and scored a run. Alyssa York walked once and scored a run.
