GREENVILLE — Rape, drugs and theft were among the many alleged crimes brought by County Prosecutor R. Kelly Ormsby III before a Darke County Grand Jury, according to a release from the prosecutor’s office.

Laverne W. Frame, 45, formerly of Bradford, was indicted on two counts of rape and three counts of sexual battery based upon an investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO). Frame allegedly was having a forcible sexual relationship with a close relative and had fathered as many as three children with her. The rape charges date from incidents in 2007, and the sexual battery charges are dated August 2008, October 2012 and December 2014.

Frame is being held in the Mercer County Jail.

Also recently before the grand jury:

• Jacob Merlin Oakes, 18, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs (Lisdexamfetamine) based on an investigation by the Greenville Police Department. He faces a maximum of 12 months in jail and $2,500 in fines, as well as license suspension. He was released on an own recognizance (OR) bond.

• Damon R. Dickeym 19, of Ansonia, was indicted on two counts of forgery based on a Greenville Police Department (GPD) investigation. He faces a maximum 2 years of incarceration and $5,000 in fines. He was released on an OR bond.

• Rickey L. Elson, 57, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of DUI, driving with prohibited concentration of alcohol in the blood, breath or urine and driving under an OVI suspension, based on a GPD investigation. He faces a maximum 30 months incarceration with 60 days minimum, and $2,700 in fines. He’s on an OR bond.

• Michael R. Crawford, of Greenville, was indicted for theft of blank checks, based on an investigation by the DCSO. He faces up to 12 months in prison, six months in jail, and $3,500 in fines. He is out on an OR bond.

• Ronald Q. Casteel, 32, of Arcanum, was indicted for theft of a credit card, based on an investigation by the DCSO. He faces up to 12 months prison, six months jail and $3,500 in fines. He was given a $5,000 bond.

• Dustin Lee Reier, 29, of New Paris, was indicted for breaking and entering and possession of heroin, based on an investigation by DCSO. He faces up to 12 months in prison and a $2,500 fine. He was given a $20,000 bond.

• Stoney D. Dynes, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of trafficking in marijuana based on a investigation by DCSO. He could receive up to 12 months in prison, $2,500 and a license suspension. He was released on an OR bond.

• Ryan M. Reynolds, 29, of Union City, Indiana, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, based on an investigation by the Union City, Ohio, Police Department (UCOPD).

• David Edgar Steen, 51, of Union City, Ohio, was indicted on a charge of two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs – Schedule II controlled substance, based on an investigation by UCOPD. He could receive up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines per charge, as well as license suspension. He was given a $10,000 bond.

• Keith M. Mitchell, 34, of Greenville, was indicted for domestic violence, based on investigation by GPD. He could face 18 months in prison nd $5,000 in fines. He is on an OR bond with a no contact order.

• Lanelle E. Tuggle, of Union City, Ohio, was indicted for possession of heroin and endangering children, based on an investigation by the Arcanum Police Department. She could face 12 months in prison, six months in jail and fines of $3,500. She was released on an OR bond.

• Joshua A. Bright, 34, of Union City, Ohio, was indicted on a charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle, based on an investigation by DCSO. He could be sentenced to up to 30 months in prison and be fined $7,500. His $20,000 bond was continued.

• Erik J. Straub, 36, of Greenville, was indicted for burglary and petty theft, based on an investigation by GPD. He faces up to three years in prison, six months in jail and up to $11,000 in fines. He was given a $25,000 blanket bond covering this and another case.

• Rocky Lee Yoder, 36, of Greenville, was indicted on three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs. He could face a maximum of 17 years in prison, $45,000 in fines and license suspension. He was given a $25,000 bond.

• Robert E. Fields, 62, of Greenville, was indicted for failure to provide notice of change of address, based on an investigation by GPD. The maximum penalty is three years in prison and $10,000 in fines. His $10,000 bond was continued.

• Heath A. Gessler, 29, of Greenville, was indicted on a charge of complicity to kidnapping, complicity to aggravated robbery, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of aggravated robbery, based on an investigation by the GPD. He faces up to 66 years in prison and $120,000 in fines. His $150,000 bond was continued with a no contact order.

• Evan L. Bowman, 23, of New Madison, was indicted on complicity to kidnapping and complicity to aggravated robbery, based upon an investigation by GPD. He faces up to 22 years in pr8ison, $40,000 fines and three years for a gun specification. His $100,000 bond was continued.

• Joseph A. Brown, 36, of Union City, Ohio, was indicted on a charge of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs based upon an investigation by the Greenville Police Department. He could face up to eight years in prison, $15,000 in fines and license suspension. His $75,000 bond was continued.

• Tiffany M. Thompson, 29, of Greenville, was indicted on six counts of trafficking in heroin and tampering with evidence, based on an investigation by the GPD. She could face a maximum of 18 years in prison, $65,000 in fines and license suspension. She could face up to 18 years in prison, $65,000 in fines and license suspension. Her $25,000 bond was continued.

• Rick L. Fleetwood, 49, of Greenville, was indicted on possession of heroin and four counts of trafficking in heroin, based on an investigation by the GPD. He faces up to 12 1/2 years in prison, $27,500 in fines, and license suspension. His $200,000 bond was continued.

• Eric R. Beisner, 26, formerly of Ansonia, now of Versailles, was indicted on a charge of sexual battery, based on an investigation by the Ansonia Police Department. The maximum penalty is five years in prison, $10,000 in fines and registration as a sex offender. He was released on an OR bond.

• Jimmie D. Rasnake, of Big Rock, Virginia, was indicted on a charge of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, based on an investigation by the GPD. He could face up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. He was released on an OR bond.

• Jeffrey M. McDowell, 27, of Greenville, was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin, based on an investigation by the GPD.

• Justin S. Hensel, 36, of Bradford, was indicted for grand theft and theft, based on an investigation by the DCSO. He could face up to 30 months in prison and $7,500 in fines. He was released on an OR bond.

• Shy-Ann M. Spitler, of Greenville, was indicted on two counts of forgery, based on an investigation by the DCSO. The maximum penalty is two years in prison and $5,000 in fines. She was released on an OR bond.

• Angel L. Bowlin, of Greenville, was indicted on six counts of illegal use of Supplemental Nutrition or WIC benefits, based on an investigation by the DCSO. The maximum penalty is six years in prison and $15,000 in fines. She was released on an OR bond.
