Bob Bennett was a supporter of the New Madison Public Library. He also loved wildlife. Beginning with this summer the reading program at the local library will have the Robert Bennett Memorial Wildlife Encounter.

Donations in his name will sponsor this annual popular event when the Brukner Nature Center of Troy will be in town on June 30 at 1:30 p.m.

The library is underway with its summer reading plans with the storytime kickoff and teen night held last week.

Make Me a Super Hero will be craft time and it is scheduled June 11 at 4 p.m. Participants will be making a cape and mask modeled after a favorite super hero comic strip.

The library will welcome Paul Ackley, artist, to town from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on June 15. Those attending Ackley’s presentation will draw a Super Hero Comic Strip. Comic Book Storytime is planned June 22 at 6:30 p.m.

The summer fun will continue through July. For more information stop at the library. Lego enthusiasts can still enjoy their favorite entertainment at 3 p.m. on June 16. On a hot summer day, the library is a cool place to meet.

Remember the fish dinner planned at the American Legion. This will be June 13 at 5 p.m.

You can take it home or stay right there.
