High school baseball tournament brackets released

DARKE COUNTY — The OHSAA released the baseball tournament bracket on May 7 a week before postseason play begins. Here is where each local school landed in the bracket. For the first few playoff games, the higher seed with host the playoff game.

In Division II, Greenville got the 15 seed and will travel to Urbana for their first playoff game on May 16 at 5 p.m. The winner will go on to play Franklin, the sixth seed, on May 18.

In Division III, Arcanum is the three seed and will host the winner of Dixie and National Trail on May 17 at 5 p.m. They are the highest seed in their sectional. Versailles is the fifth seed and will host the winner of Northeastern and Milton-Union on May 17 at 5 p.m. A win could set up a district semifinal game against Indian Lake, the second seed.

In Division IV, Mississinawa Valley is the 13th seed and will travel to Sidney Lehman Catholic on May 15 for a 5 p.m. first pitch. The winner will take on the one seed in Fort Loramie on May 17. In the same sectional, Bradford is the four seed and will host 11th seed Triad on May 15 at 5 p.m. The winner will take on the winner of the sixth seed Jackson Center and ninth seed Covington on May 17. Franklin Monroe is the sixth seed and will host Yellow Springs on May 15 at 5 p.m. The winner will travel to Twin Valley South, the third seed, on May 17 for a 5 p.m. first pitch. Tri-Village earned a one seed and will play the winner of Springfield Catholic Central and Cedarville on May 17 at 5 p.m. A win and they could play the two seed in Southeastern Local in the district semifinal. Ansonia is the eighth seed and will host Fairlawn on May 15 at 5 p.m. The winner will travel to Russia on May 17 for a 5 p.m. first pitch.
