ANSONIA —The Village of Ansonia Utility Department will be flushing all fire hydrants in the Vi1lage’s distribution system. Flushing of hydrants will start on Monday, Oct. 2 and continue through Thursday, Oct. 5.

The flushing is necessary to remove iron accumulations from the mains. Residents may experience periods of rusty water during this period. All customers are recommended to allow 24 hours before washing clothes. Residents may want to check their water before they start washing clothes.
