DCP commissioners meet

GREENVILLE — The Darke County Park District Board of Commissioners Regular Board Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 18, 4 p.m., at Shawnee Prairie Preserve Nature Education Center, 4267 St. Rt. 502 W., Greenville. Tri-County Board meets

TROY — The Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services will meet Tuesday, July 16 at noon at the Tri-County Board Administration & Training Center, 1280 N. County Road 25A, Troy. The Finance Committee will precede the Board meeting at 11:30 a.m. Guests should park and enter at the Training Center on the south side of the building.

Kindergarten Immunization Clinic

GREENVILLE — The Darke County General Health District will be hosting a Saturday Immunization Clinic for incoming kindergarteners. Beat the rush this fall and take advantage of this opportunity to get immunizations completed early. The clinic will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, 9 a.m.- noon, at their office located at 300 Garst Ave., Greenville. No appointments are necessary. Please bring your insurance card if insured. As a reminder, their weekly immunization clinic runs on Tuesdays with walk-in hours from 8-10:30 a.m. and 2-5 p.m. For any questions regarding this clinic, please call our office at 937-548-4196 ext. 224.

Last Chance drop off

The Last Chance Mercantile held during the annual Gathering at Garst is currently accepting donations. Last Chance Mercantile is a two-day tag sale on the grounds of the Garst Museum during the Gathering. This is a fundraiser for the Darke County Parks and all monies raised are greatly appreciated. This year’s event will take place on July 27 and 28.

The Mercantile Committee gratefully accepts donations of unwanted furniture, frames, old garden statues, dishes, antiques, textiles, artwork, costume jewelry, garden ornaments, and Greenville/Darke County memorabilia. There is one remaining drop off date, July 20, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lowell Thomas House (behind the Garst Museum). Or, bring your items into the Bish Discovery Center, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. until July 23. For more information, call 937-548-0165.
