Porter breaks school record at Lady Bucc Invitational

PIQUA — Arcanum, Greenville and Versailles girls golf teams competed in the Lady Bucc Invitational on August 5 at Echo Hills Golf Course.

Versailles senior Ella Porter broke the school’s 18 hole record, a record she shared with Brooke Wehrkamp, with a score of 74. The previous lowest 18 hole score was a 75. Porter was the medalist at the event.

All three schools finished next to each other. Greenville took third with a team score of 406, Arcanum took fourth with a team score of 408 and Versailles took fifth with a team score of 415.

For Greenville, Vera Cox led with a 93 and finished as the ninth highest score individually. Taylor Trissel shot a 101, a personal best for her for 18 holes, and Sofia Chrisman shot a 103. Callee Moore finished with a 109. Ava Good had a 138 and Paityn Lehr had a 139.

For Arcanum, Emma Rogers finished with an 89, tied for fifth in the individual scores. Brook Anderson shot a 95 and finished tied for 10th individually. Adalyn Paul shot a 106 and Payten Parks shot a 118.

Porter led Versailles with the 74. Brooke Keiser shot a 104 and Danielle Francis shot a 114. Lucy Schmitmeyer finished with a 123 and Keira Rahm finished with a 141.
