CELINA — The Versailles girls golf team lost a close one to New Bremen at Mercer County Elks, 222-219, on August 15.

Ella Porter led the Lady Tigers with a 45. Brooke Keiser had a 47, Madelyn Farver had a 64 and Danielle Francis had a 66. Both Lucy Schmitmeyer and Keira Rahm had a 75.

For New Bremen, Skylar Lochtefeld led with a 52. Ali Trego had a 54, Adri Heitkamp had a 55 and Sammie Manbeck had a 58. Brylin Smith shot a 72 and Becca Wilker shot a 78.

Versailles will host Minster next at Stillwater Valley Golf Course at 4:30 p.m. on August 19. They are now 1-1 on the season.
