Thompson shoots personal best after being in car accident

Senior Garrett Thompson shot a personal best 46 and earned a spot on the varsity team.

VERSAILLES — Even if things go bad, there is always time for things to go great later. Before his junior varsity match on August 16, Versailles senior Garrett Thompson was involved in a car accident that totaled his car.

Thankfully, Thompson was unharmed and played in the junior varsity match against Minster. While the team fell 206-184, Thompson led the team with a personal best 46.

With that score, he earned a spot on the varsity team in his first year on the golf team.

Also playing for Versailles was Isaac Brown with a 50, Devyn Thobe and Jacob Groff both had a 55. Max Meyer shot a 61 and Gabe Meyer shot a 65.
