PORTLAND, Ind. — Arts Place is excited to announce the last concert of its 2024 Summer Performance Series, Sounds of Summer: A Beach Boys Tribute. A family friendly event; bring your children and enjoy a night of music and food by Pappie’s Smokehouse BBQ & Iceburg Ice Cream! Activities will also be available for kids. The concert will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, 7 p.m., at Hudson Family Park Amphitheatre, 509 S. Wayne St., Portland, Ind.

Sounds of Summer is a tribute show based in Southern Indiana that includes over 30 familiar hits and tells the story of America’s band – the Beach Boys. Sounds of Summer has received praise for staying true to the Beach Boys sound and had the privilege of playing a live hour-long special on AXS TV’s “World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” in September 2016.

The Hudson Family Park Amphitheatre concert series is sponsored by The City of Portland, Compass Wealth Solutions, and The Portland Foundation.

The concert is free and there are no tickets or registration needed.
