July 15

VANDALISM: An 2 p.m. officers responded to the 200 block of Front Street in reference to vandalism to the property. They female stated her daughter was home by herself, when she received a phone call from her daughter stating the living room window had just been broken. The female stated she returned home within 10 minutes where she observed the window broken as well as a rock on the window sill. Officers spoke to the daughter who stated she was upstairs when she heard the window break but did not see anyone do it.

July 26

DISORDERLY: At 1:31 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Deshler Avenue in reference to a noise complaint. Officers could hear loud music coming from the residence. Multiple attempts were made to contact Rachel Thobe by officers knocking on the door. Four neighbors were awake and affected by Thobe’s loud music. Thobe is currently on probation, and she was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.

July 30

WANTED PERSON: At 3:30 p.m. officers arrived at the 200 block of Martin Street in reference to wanted person with an arrest warrant. Jeff White had a warrant for failure to appear for trial on the original charge of disorderly conduct, and he was arrested. His bond was set at $260.

THEFT: Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Wagner Avenue in reference to a possible attempted theft. The complainant stated a customer came up to her and told her a couple of guys were leaning over a Husqvarna lawnmower and the customer heard a grinding noise. She believed the customer must have scared them off. She observed the cut lawnmower that had been cut in attempt to bypass the security wires. Video footage showed two males, one bald and another wearing what appeared to be a straw hat and had a white beard, walking towards the lawn mowers. The bald male was on the phone while the other was actively looking at the lawnmowers. Both males walked the row following what looked like a security line all the way down the building. The male wearing the hat appeared to pull something out of his pants and began to cut the lawnmower. The two males soon exited the area, leaving in a dark colored SUV that was pulling a trailer. The listing price for the mower was $3,499. Pictures of the suspects were also taken.

Aug. 3

WANTED PERSON: At 5:24 a.m. officers apprehended Steven Karnehm who had an active warrant for contempt of court on the original charge of trespass. He was arrested and transported to the jail.

Aug. 7

WANTED PERSON: At 1:59 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of Sycamore Street at W. 4th Street on a subject with a warrant. Trenda Campbell was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on criminal trespassing with a bond of $1,525. She was then transported to the Darke County Jail.
