WOAC golf action at Beechwood

ARCANUM — It was a busy day at Beechwood Golf Course as WOAC boys and girls golf teams competed against each other at the course.

The Arcanum boys team won back to back matches at Beechwood. They won 170-192 over Bradford on August 26. Graham Brubaker led the team with a 33. Luke Stephens had a 43, Lance Brinksneader had a 46, and RJ Brothers had a 48. Seth Fearon scored a 51 and Sam Rose scored a 55. For Bradford, Treyl Manuel and Gage Shaffer each had a 46. Greg Chowing scored a 47 and Owen Canan scored a 53 to round out the scoring. Landon Helman had a 54 and Ryan Hocker had a 58.

The next day, Arcanum defeated Franklin Monroe 158-192. Brubaker led with a 35. Stephens had a 37, Fearon had a 42 and Brothers had a 44. Brinksneader had a 46 and Rose had a 56. For Franklin Monroe, Chase Stebbins led with a 46. Brandt Filbrun had a 47, Braden Gilbert had a 48 and Trevor Swiger had a 51. Reed Brumbaugh scored a 52 and Blake Riffle scored a 58.

The Jets did get a win on August 26 as they defeated Mississinawa Valley, 186-219. Filbrun led with a 43. Swiger and Riffle each scored a 46 and Gilbert had a 48. Stebbins had a 49 and Riffle had a 52. For Mississinawa Valley, Jaxin Beanblossom led with a 43. Cole McGlothin had a 53, Carson Hamilton had a 59 and Conner Hardy had a 64. Theron Douglass scored a 70.

Also on August 26, won 189-195 over Tri-County North in a road match at Beechwood. Byron Young led with a 44. Ryder Sanders scored a 47, Darby Gilland scored a 48 and Noah Heck scored a 50. Luke Hahn shot a 78.

On the girls side, Arcanum picked up a win over Tri-Village 199-206.
