Aug. 11

DOMESTIC: At 1:31 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 400 block of E. Fourth Street in reference to a domestic violence. The couple is currently in a romantic relationship together and share a child together. The female stated the male and her were in a verbal argument about a situation that took place at a bar. She stated that once at home he began to throw and break things around the house and multiple items had been thrown into the back yard. The officer observed the female to be visibly scared and in fear, she and the male never made any threats or hit her. She was able to contact her sister to stay with her for the night. The children were present, as well.

DISORDERLY: At 2:59 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Ash Street in reference to a male being disorderly. The female called stating Dakoda Jackson was beating the front door attempting to get in. This incident is related to a domestic dispute where the female and her two children left and went to this address to be away from Jackson. Jackson discovered where the female had gone and walked to the address and started banging on the front door attempting to speak to her. Prior to officers arrival, Jackson had taken off. Witnesses testimonies were added to the case file, and text messages from Jackson to the female stating “either answer your phone or I’ll start banging on ****”. Jackson then texted her “I will wake everyone in this ******* house up, you know I will.” Jackson will be issued a citation for disorderly conduct and trespassed when located.

Aug. 12

WANTED PERSON: Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Pine Street in reference to a possible domestic. Dispatched advised that Raul Dean was being physical with his mom, and also started a fire inside the residence. Officers could smell smoke around the residence but was unable to get an answer at the door at first. The mother eventually came to the door, and she was not forth coming and denied there being any physical altercation. She also stated that she put the fire out while claiming she did not know where Dean was. Dean had an active felony arrest warrant out of Darke County for a probation violation. The mom advised that Dean had lit a sheet that was found on fire to burn the house down. They had received information he could be hiding in a false wall in the basement. They were able to open the wall and get Dean out. He was arrested with no bond. Dean prevented and delayed his lawful arrest by failing to comply with orders to come out of hiding, the mom did not wish to make a statement about domestic violence or possible arson, and the case was forwarded to the prosecutors for review. No school age children were present during the argument.

Aug. 13

WANTED PERSON: At 2:12 a.m. officers responded to the 5000 block of State Route 49 to serve a misdemeanor warrant for Jake Angles. Angles was known to be armed. He answered the door when officers knocked, and he was arrested with nothing located. The warrant was for ‘violation of a court order’ warrant, with no bond out of Miami County. He was transported to the jail to await extradition.

Aug. 14

VANDALISM: At 9:17 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Harrison avenue in reference to two vehicles that were damaged. They male victim stated that he last saw his business box truck and car in good condition on Aug. 13th. He found the tires slashed. Cameras were located on the residence but are not operational. There are no suspects at this time, and the victim stated the tires would cost him almost $1,000 to replace.
