GREENVILLE — Wakefield’s 176th Harvest Home Reunion will be held on Labor Day Sunday at 1 p.m. at North Park on Lease Ave., Greenville.

Many of the attendees will be sharing their recollections within the Leis-Lease pioneer homestead years along with their documents on the Wakefield Lutheran Church and Cemetery, the #6 one room brick school house students and faculty from that era.

The Lease sisters, Betty and Marilyn’s Wakefield books will also be on display.

The hamelt of Wakefield left a legacy of stories that connected within the makings of Darke County, and worldwide fame.

The Kroger Grocery store is located in front of the park for any items before you drive back to the park area. You might want to bring along your lawn chair. The opening prayer will be given at 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
