Lehman breaks own record at Treaty City Invitational

GREENVILLE — Greenville athletics hosted the Treaty City Cross Country Invitational on August 31 at Greenville City Park.

Ansonia sophomore Bennett Lehman followed up his school record-setting performance last week with another one. He broke his own record as he took first place with a time of 15:53.7. Versailles junior Tony Moorman took third place overall with a time of 16:28.8. Versailles sophomore Jackson Spitzer took fifth place with a time of 16:34.0. Also from Versailles, junior Zachary Rahm took seventh with a 16:59.7 and senior Cameron Magoto took eighth with a 17:00.2.

The Versailles boys team took first place as a team. Greenville took second place, Ansonia took 13th and Franklin Monroe took 21st.

For Ansonia, senior Ethan Sparks took 14th with a time of 17:28.4 and junior Luken Longenecker took 67th with a 18:56.9.

For Greenville, junior Owen Marker took 13th with a time of 17:23.7. Sophomore Karr Hiestand took 26th with a time of 18:03.3 and junior Coleman McNulty took 28th with a time of 18:08.8. Senior Trey Rammel took 30th with an 18:11.9.

For Franklin Monroe, senior Sam Haney took 47th with a time of 18:36.1. Freshman Charlie Stull took 76th with a 19:12.5 and sophomore Vail Cox took 123rd with a 20:49.8.

Representing Mississinawa Valley, senior Daniel Hartzell took 40th with a time of 18:28.5.

On the girls side, Versailles finished in second place as a team. Greenville took 10th place and Franklin Monroe finished in 17th.

For Versailles, sophomore Ava Rismiller took ninth place with a time of 20:57.4. Senior Gabrielle Spitzer took 17th with a 21:49.6 and freshman Lillian Selhorst took 19th with a 21:51.9.

For Greenville, freshman Meredith Hunt took 18th with a 21:51.7. Junior Ava Glass took 57th with a time of 23:17.8 and senior Jenica Feitshans took 60th with a 23:22.2.

For Franklin Monroe, sophomore Sami Stull took 71st with a time of 23:50.6. Sophomore Hannah Wolfe took 74th with a 24:00.0 and freshman Stella Fugate took 79th with a 24:14.8.

Representing Ansonia, junior Olivia Creager took 70th with a time of 23:44.0. Sophomore Alexa Kreiner took 96th with a time of 24:59.6 and junior Bella Orbinger took 144th with a 30:04.8. Representing Mississinawa Valley, senior Syenna Purdin took 88th with a time of 24:37.0. Sophomore Kayaa Mote took 109th with a 25:56.3, junior Paige Emrick took 126th with a 27:39.8 and senior Emily Byram took 133rd with a 28:30.9.
