ARCANUM — Franklin Monroe hosted their first annual Short Flight Invite at the high school on September 3. The high school and junior high teams competed in a small race. The high schoolers took on a short, two mile course during the event.

For the girls, Franklin Monroe sophomore Sami Stull took first place with a time of 13:50.3. Franklin Monroe freshman Stella Fugate took second with a 14:02.2 and Bradford sophomore Savannah Beachler took third with a 14:02.8.

For the rest of the top ten, Bradford senior Emma Lavey took fourth with a time of 14:05.0 and Arcanum freshman Brynn Byers took fifth with a 14:05.6. Ansonia junior Olivia Creager took sixth with a 14:38.9, Bradford sophomore Natalie Wood took seventh with a 15:01.5, Ansonia sophomore Alexa Kreiner took eighth with a 15:14.8, Arcanum freshman Kennedy Hayes took ninth with a 15:40.3 and Arcanum freshman Rees Hoffman took tenth with a 15:49.8.

For the boys, Ansonia sophomore Bennett Lehman took first place with a 9:53.6. Ansonia senior Ethan Sparks took second with an 11:40.6 and Arcanum junior Malachi Wright took third with a 11:24.9. For the rest of the top ten, Ansonia junior Luken Longenecker took sixth with an 11:37.3, Arcanum junior Micah Arbogast took seventh with an 11:39.7, Franklin Monroe freshman Charlie Stull took eighth with an 11:41.2, Tri-Village junior Chris Brinley took ninth with an 11:50.6 and Ansonia sophomore Wyatt Unrast took tenth with an 11:50.6.
