Greenville golf defeats Piqua for fifth wins of the season

GREENVILLE — The Greenville boys and girls golf teams both won their match against Piqua on September 10.

The Lady Wave won 189-201 at Echo Hills Golf Course. Leading the Wave were Vera Cox with a 41, Sofia Chrisman with a 45, and Taylor Trissel with a 48. Also paying for the Wave were Reese Addington with a 59 and Kennedy Schoen with a 66. Both Chrisman and Trissel shot a personal best.

For the boys, they won 168-189 at Turtle Creek Golf Course. Both Drew Beisner and Josh Baker led the team with a 41. Hayden Null shot a 42 and Kaiden Hickey shot a 44. Cole Oswalt had a 45 and Carson Good had a 46. The win marks their fifth straight match win.

The boys team is 5-4 overall while the girls team is 5-6 overall. The boys team will compete in the Nate Neitkamp Invitational at Mercer County Elks on September 14. They will then host Dixie at Turtle Creek on September 16 at 4 p.m. The girls team will host Troy on September 16 at 3:30 p.m.
