Lehman sets school record again at Troy Twilight Invitational

TROY — Many Darke County cross country teams competed under the lights at the Troy Twilight Invitational on September 14.

In the White division for the varsity boys, Bradford finished in 15th place as a team. Freshman Lucas Nicholson took 52nd with a time of 21:03.8. Sophomore Kyree Roberts took 91st with a time of 21:55.1 and freshman Eli Hoffman took 97th with a time of 21:58.9.

In the Gray division for the varsity boys, Arcanum took eighth place as a team. Greenville finished 14th and Franklin Monroe finished in 17th. For Arcanum, junior Malachi Wright took 10th with a time of 18:23.1. Junior Clark Lemons took 25th with a time of 18:43.9. Senior Owen Netherly took 51st with a time of 19:09.5. For Greenville, sophomore Lucas Marker took 48th with a time of 19:08.1. Senior Mason Pierri took 94th with a 19:30.7 and sophomore Kelton Evans took 117th with a 19:42.9. For Franklin Monroe, senior Sam Haney took 16th with a time of 18:29.5. Freshman Charlie Stull took 20th with a 18:33.4 and sophomore Vail Cox took 141st with a 19:59.2.

In the Scarlet division for the varsity boys, Greenville took 27th and Ansonia took 29th. Ansonia sophomore Bennett Lehman topped the school record for the third time this season with a time of 15:34.9 and took first place. Senior Ethan Sparks took 67th with a 17:03.4 and junior Luken Longenecker took 304th with a 19:11.4. For Greenville, junior Owen Marker took 96th with a time of 17:22.0. Senior Trey Rammel took 156th with a 17:57.8 and sophomore Karr Hiestand took 167th with a 18:02.6. Mississinawa Valley senior Daniel Hartzell took 219th with an 18:26.5.

In the White division for the varsity girls, Mississinawa Valley took second place as a team. Arcanum finished in fourth, Franklin Monroe finished in eighth and Ansonia took 20th. For the Lady Blackhawks, senior Taylee Woodbury took third with a 22:03.3. Senior Syenna Purdin took 23rd with a 24:01.9 and freshman Tenlee Woodbury took 26th with a 24:12.3. For Arcanum, freshman Ella Warren took sixth with a time of 22:55.6. Freshman Brynn Byers took eighth with a 22:56.9 and freshman Kennedy Hayes took 28th with a 24:42.4. For Franklin Monroe, freshman Stella Fugate took seventh with a time 22:55.8. Sophomore Hannah Wolfe took 19th with a time of 23:54.1 and sophomore Mia Brookey took 87th with a 27:11.4. For Ansonia, junior Olivia Creager took 12th with a time of 23:19.6. Sophomore Alexa Kreiner took 15th with a 23:42.9 and junior Bella Obringer took 174th with a 29:49.4. For Bradford, senior Emma Lavey took 11th with a time of 23:16.2. Sophomore Savannah Beachler took 21st with a 23:57.6 and sophomore Natalie Wood took 24th with a 24:09.1.

In the Gray division for the varsity girls, Greenville took 21st. Sophomore Jordan Lopez took 82nd with a time of 24:25.9. Senior Avery Baumann took 88th with a 24:32.6 and junior Lily Wisner took 189th with a time of 25:46.1.

In the Scarlet division for the varsity girls, Greenville took 31st. Freshman Meredith Hunt took 196th with a time of 22:29.6. Sophomore Clair Rammel took 212nd with a time of 22:48.3 and junior Ava Glass took 240th with a time of 23:03.1.
