SPRINGFIELD — The Arcanum and Versailles boys golf teams competed in the OHSAA Southwest Division II Sectional Golf Tournament on Sept. 18 at Reid Park North.
The Trojans finished third overall as a team and will compete in districts. Versailles junior Brayden Wagner finished eighth as an individual and will move on to districts.
Arcanum senior Graham Brubaker finished as the medalist of the event with a 72. Sophomore Luke Stephens had an 80, senior RJ Brothers had an 86, senior Seth Fearon had an 89 and junior Lance Brinksneader had a 93. The team had a score of 327.
Versailles finished in tenth as a team with a score of 364. Wagner led with a 79. Junior Seth Shafer had a 92, sophomore Ethan Phlipot had a 95, sophomore Maddox Stonebraker had a 98 and junior Austin Ruhenkamp had a 99.
Arcanum and Wagner will play in the District Tournament on Oct. 1 at Pipestone Golf Club.
