Utilities Committee meets

GREENVILLE — The Greenville City Council’s Utilities Committee with Chairman Clarence Godwin, Vice Chairman Chris Norris and Member Brian Brown, will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 1 p.m., in Council Chambers, Municipal Building, Greenville. The committee will be discussing Anderson Ethanol’s water rates.

Charger Country Night

PIQUA — The Edison State Community College Office of Alumni Engagement invites all Edison State alumni and friends, including faculty, staff, and retirees, to attend its fall Charger Country Night on Monday, Sept. 30. The event will take place during the home volleyball game versus rival University of Northwestern Ohio-JV. Those who register to attend Charger Country Night will receive free admittance to the game, food and drinks, and giveaways. Check-in for the event begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Charger Gymnasium, with the game starting at 6 p.m. Enjoy this time to gather, connect, and celebrate all Charger athletic teams. CIC meeting

GREENVILLE — The Greenville CIC (Community Improvement Corporation) will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. in the basement conference room of the Municipal Building (located at 100 Public Square) for a regularly scheduled meeting.

Harry Stephens Trust grants

GREENVILLE — The Harry Stephens Trust is currently accepting applications. Distributions of the interest income are made semi-annually. The deadline for December is Oct. 1. Online applications are available at [email protected] or the office of Jim Detling, 421 Public Square, Greenville.

PERI meeting

GREENVILLE — The next meeting/luncheon of the Darke County Public Employee Retirees, Inc. Will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, at Hustons Restaurant, 9 E. Water St., Arcanum. The cost of the lunch is $13 and payable at the door. The guest speaker will be Mary Parrish, benefits advisor AMBA. Anyone who has retired, or is a spouse of a retired individual, that is affiliated with the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS), is welcome to attend and is eligible to join the local chapter of PERI. If you would like to attend this meeting you will need to make reservations by calling Vivian Nieport, attendance chairwoman, at 937-548-3961, on or before Sunday, Sept. 29. If there is no answer, please leave a message and she will return your call. Current members will be contacted by the PERI calling committee.

Extravaganza Parade

BRADFORD — The Bradford Pumpkin Show is inviting everyone to be a participant in the Bradford Pumpkin Show Extravaganza Parade. Golf cart decorating contest

BRADFORD — Everyone is invited to participate in the Bradford Pumpkin Show decorated golf cart contest. The parade is Oct. 12 beginning at 4 p.m. with the line-up beginning at 3 p.m. at Bradford High School. You can decorate your golf cart however you please, such as fall, USA, Disney or the theme of the Pumpkin Show which is Family Game Night.
