Versailles girls golf and Brewer moves on to districts

BRADFORD — The Southwest Division II Girls Golf Sectional Tournament took place on September 25 at Stillwater Valley Golf Course.

With the top four teams making it to districts, Versailles took fourth place with a score of 437 and will move on as a team. Arcanum also finished with a 437, but lost the tie breaker due to not having a fifth golfer for the tie breaker.

As an individual, Tri-Village senior Reagan Brewer shot an 82 and will head to districts with a third place finish.

For the rest of the team standings, Tri-Village took eighth place with a score of 442 and Ansonia took 15th with a 540.

For Versailles, senior Ella Porter led the team with a 92. Freshman Brooke Keiser shot a 110, freshman Madelyn Farver shot a 115, senior Danielle Francis shot a 120 and sophomore Lucy Schmitmeyer shot a 130. For Arcanum, senior Brooke Anderson shot a 95 and was a playoff hole win away from moving on to districts. Indian Lake junior Alex Kinney won the playoff hole and moved on to districts. Sophomore Adalyn Paul had a 108, senior Emma Rogers had a 114 and senior Payten Parks had a 120. For Tri-Village, Brewer led with the 82. Senior Taylor Begoon had a 110, senior Macey Shetler had a 121, senior Addie Pipenger had a 129 and sophomore Kaylie Lytle had a 143. For Ansonia, senior Zoey Elson led with a 117. Senior Sophia Aultman had a 124, sophomore Emma Brown had a 149, sophomore Sloane Gariety had a 150 and freshman Natalie Midlam had a 183.

The District Tournament will take place at PipeStone Golf Club on Oct. 2.
