FHS offers drive-thru flu vaccines

GREENVILLE — Family Health Services will hold four convenient drive-thru flu vaccine clinics this month, aimed at providing quick and easy access to flu shots for existing adult patients. With the flu season fast approaching, Family Health is encouraging all patients to stay protected by receiving their flu vaccine this fall.

“Getting vaccinated against the flu virus is one of the easiest ways to stay healthy and protect those around you,” said Dr. Anna Hatic, Family Health medical director. “By receiving the flu shot, individuals are less likely to spread illness to vulnerable family and community members. Individuals who get vaccinated are less likely to develop severe illness and can prevent influenza-related deaths.”

The drive-thru flu clinics will take place on the following dates at two Family Health locations:

Greenville Clinic Dates:

* Saturday, Oct. 5, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

* Tuesday, Oct. 8, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

* Friday, Oct. 18, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Arcanum Clinic Date:

* Friday, Oct. 11, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

For those unable to attend the drive-thru clinics, appointments for flu shots can be scheduled at Family Health by calling 937-548-9680. For more information on the benefits of the flu vaccine, https://vimeo.com/884156511/6f91668324?share=copy.
