GREENVILLE — The Darke County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the one-year anniversary of one of its newest members, J&M Consignments.

J&M Consignments, 801 Martin Street, Greenville, has been providing clothing, home decor, housewares, antiques, books, jewelry and more at its current location for a year. Owners Joe and Mary Arnett are not new to the consignment/thrift shop business as they have owned several in the past at different locations.

Mary said it has been an honor to be able to help those wanting to sell their merchandise and those looking for a bargain. She said, “Thank you to all my peeps, now and in the future, your confidence, support and referrals means the world to me. Here’s to many more years of serving you with dedication and heart. If you love thrift shopping and finding good deals for your family, then we have your back.”

Mary said she has always loved being part of a consignment shop. She previously had a shop on Wagner Avenue where Dollar Tree is now located. She also had a very popular online rummage sale. She pointed out that one time there were numerous consignment shops in town, but their popularity has waned. Mary is excited to be able to bring attention to and help kickstart their popularity again. She noted that her newest location has been “the best thing ever”.

Customers can expect to be greeted when they come through her door. She also wants patrons to know that they will find plenty of sales in a clean and organized store.

Mary is always looking for people wanting to consign their goods and customers looking for a great deal.

The business is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
