Sept. 2

ASSAULT: Officers responded to the 1200 block of Northmoore Drive in reference to an assault that occurred at the 200 block of East Fifth Street. The female complainant was visibly upset and holding two ice packs around her right hand. She advised she was in an altercation at her residence on East Fifth Street with her on-again off-again boyfriend. She said while she was asleep, he began drinking heavily at home. When she woke, he had sent her a series of hostile text messages that upset her. She stated at this time, the two were involved in a verbal argument in reference to his drinking and she wanted to leave for the night. The female stated she was holding her car keys in her right hand when the ex grabbed onto them and pulled them towards himself. She stated that her injured middle finger became stuck around one of the keys as he pulled them away. She had a small laceration to this finger, and it was visibly red and swollen. She said he told her she wasn’t going anywhere and also took her two cell phones. The female stated she believes she experienced a seizure at this time and was seizing on the floor and attempted to hold her steady until it was over. She does not remember if she lost consciousness during this seizure. She stated after the seizure was over, the argument continued, and she left the residence on foot. Due to the female’s minor injury and possible loss of consciousness, Greenville Rescue was requested to the scene. She was transported to the Hospital for further evaluation. She advised she did not want charges at this time for the male. There will be nothing further at this time.

Sept. 11

CPO VIOLATION: At 8:58 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Sweitzer Street in reference to a CPO Violation. The female stated she has an active domestic violence CPO against her ex-husband, Jake Angles. She stated he drove his vehicle by her house several times and honked his horn on Sept. 9 in his silver Ford Explorer. She recorded the first incident on her cell phone. The rest of the interactions were recorded on her Ring doorbell camera. She stated he ad driven past and honked his horn 14 times since the 9th. Angles was arrested for violating the CPO on Aug. 19, and officers were unable to contact him by phone due to his number being changed. This case was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.
