Arcanum Superintendent

The Arcanum-Butler Local School District will have an income tax RENEWAL on the November 2024 ballot in the amount of 0.75%. This is not a request for new additional money. The renewal term is five years and would generate $1.4 million per year for the specific purpose of general operations of the school district. The renewal was last approved by voters in November 2019.

Arcanum-Butler continually aims to provide educational excellence and opportunities for students while maintaining fiscal responsibility. As reported in the last state report card, Arcanum-Butler spends $12,998 per student, almost $1,833 per pupil less than similar districts in Ohio and $2,429 less than the statewide average per pupil. 69% of all funds are spent on classroom instruction. Despite spending less than the state average, students have performed very well academically and have represented the district with Trojan Pride throughout our community! The district continues to offer many opportunities for our students, including quality academic programs, college credit plus coursework, community service, an award-winning FFA program, an outstanding preschool, highly-regarded fine arts programs, various clubs, extra-curricular activities and athletic opportunities.

The Arcanum-Butler School community is a special place to raise a family and district residents have much for which they can be proud. Arcanum – Butler students receive a high quality education that prepares them for future success and offers opportunities to participate outside of the classroom setting. It is that Trojan Community Pride that provides the necessary support for student success. As your superintendent, AHS alumnus, district resident and parent of two Arcanum-Butler students, I want to thank you for your continued support!
