Chapter has successful Fall Harvest Sale

VERSAILLES — On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Versailles FFA hosted a Fall Harvest Sale/Farmers Market and a mobile blood drive at the school. The chapter thanks everyone that came out to support Versailles FFA and many local vendors.

Exhibitors at the sale included: FFA members – Josie Pothast who sold eggs. Danica York who sold wood carvings, Hank Smith sold honey. Paige Gehret sold pumpkins and gourds. Maggie, Patrick, and Gabe McGlinch sold turkey sausage and whole broilers. Eden and Liam sold goat ice cream, fudge, and goat soap. Lauren Grogen sold honey. Ameila Grillot sold homemade cup cakes. Carson DeMange sold hardy mums. All of the FFA members sold these products as part of their SAE project. The Versailles FFA sold apples, apple cider slushies, and apple cider gallons and half gallons through Downing Fruit Farms. The greenhouse management class designed and sold pumpkin floral arrangements and pumpkin succulents. Additional vendors included John and Alice Otte who sold wood carving and signs with outside games as well. Laura Schwieterman with Adorable Stitches sold hand goodies, t-shirts and related products. Janell Weiss who sold Dahlia Bouquets. Dawn Shimp with sublimation shirts, mouse pads and coasters. Bowman Produce sold mums, baked goods and produce. Kari Weaver with 4TheLuvofLeathers- genuine leather, wine charms and resin earrings. Monica Goubeaux with Mary Kay. Matt, Morgan, and Sophia Aultman who sold pumpkins and gourds. Emily Garber with Mile Creek Farms sold Be Divine Decor and beauty. Samantha Cox sold Thirty-One bags. Connie Imel sold sewn items and homemade goodies. Cheryl Meinerding sold dog toys, blankets and treats. Krista Harman sold fall crafts and wreaths.

The Versailles FFA ran a lunch stand featuring soup, sandwiches, and baked goods. Thank you to Mrs. White’s class for making the baked goods. Free crafts were also included for the kids. A mobile blood drive ran in conjunction with the event which resulted in 17 donors. Thank you to everyone that participated in the mobile blood drive. In addition at the Fall Harvest Sale money was collected for Brooke Bergman and family and a prayer chain was formed . A special thank you to Bill Didier for donating the tables and Maggie McGlinch and Maddie Walters for doing face painting. A special thank you to everyone that supported the FFA and vendors as part of the Fall Harvest Sale.
