GREENVILLE — The Anna Bier Gallery will host two visual arts workshops in November.

On Nov. 12, area residents will have the chance to learn new painting techniques at an Introduction to Watercolors class. The class takes place from 6-8 p.m. Registration for the class is $30 and all materials will be provided. Jennifer Overholser, Artistic Director of Visual Arts for Darke County Center for the Arts, will lead the class. This class is suitable for both teens and adults.

Students will learn about different types of watercolor paints, papers, and brushes, as well as techniques for using the materials. The theme of the workshop will be “Fall Leaves.” However, students will have ample opportunity to be creative and make their painting one-of-a-kind.

On Nov. 18, the gallery will host a Kids 3D Creation Station from 6–7 p.m. Children will use a variety of materials to create a 3D paper bag scarecrow. The cost for this class is $5 and all materials are provided. This workshop is suitable for children ages 6-11.

Prior registration is required for all classes in order to plan for materials. All workshops are held in the Anna Bier Gallery, located on the second floor of St. Clair Memorial Hall at 215 W. 4th St., Greenville.

To register for a class or for questions, please contact Jennifer Overholser at 440-813-0367 or [email protected]. Students may also register online by visiting darkecountyarts.org/annabiergallery. The deadline for registration is the day before each workshop.
