GREENVILLE — Midmark pays it forward to the community.

Midmark partnered with Darke County ESC pre-school area to install new cabinets and sinks in all nine rooms in the school and a modular. Though Midmark would prefer to not disclose the specific value of the donation, they are happy to share that it is their primary goal to support the Darke County community and make a meaningful impact.

“My father always said that if you take care of your employees, they will take care of you. That’s the mentality I took with me into adulthood, and I have that understanding that if you take care of your community, it will take care of you,” Mitch Eiting, Global Philanthropic and Corporate Giving Manager.

At Midmark, they care for each other, their customers, and their communities by volunteering, fundraising, scholarships, and applicable donations. In light of giving back to the community while ensuring the safety the youth, Midmark donated the new cabinets and sinks to reminisce the originals from 1966.

“It was all original cabinetry, and it was very much a need,” Jim Atchley, superintendent of the Darke County Education Service Center, said. “I mean we had bowed cabinets, doors wouldn’t shut, so it really needed done.”

The project was about a two year process, as there were numerous walk through and discussions had regarding the needs within the facility. Eiting relayed his experience seeing the cabinets for the first time.

“The cabinets were original. I was like whoa, we cannot have kids around cabinets like that,” Eiting said.

The replacement cabinets and added cabinets in two classrooms are new and improved to add not only a finished look, but they offer safety locks and soft closes as well. This ensures the safety of each child who comes in the classroom.

“It is all the same cabinets that Midmark puts into their doctors, medical, and veterinary businesses, so it is above and beyond good quality,” Atchley said. “I mean we may not know how much the donation costs, but it was well out of our budget, and we will forever be extremely grateful for their generous support.”

No only did Midmark help by donating their new cabinets, the Midmark Delivery Service (MDS) team installed the cabinetry. Brandon Bradley led the installation, and they were able to complete the project within three days.

“They were really on the project and willing to help. I have reached out to them to ask them when they wanted to go over and compete it, and they messaged back saying it was already done. Truly was a great thing to see,” Eiting said.

“We really appreciate it, and Midmark doesn’t do anything outside of first class, and we are very very happy with the way things turned out,” Eiting said. This is one of the major projects Midmark has done outside of Versailles. He said Midmark is here for the long haul, and they are here for the community at large -Darke County as a whole.

“We are all here to work with each other, but number one priority was the safety of the kids. Hands down,” Eiting said. “Then we started getting into the nitty gritty of the whole thing, and it became even bigger.”

After discussions, they new cabinets are synthesis cabinetry by Midmark. They are designed for clinical environment to help enhance things like workflow, ergonomics and infection prevention, and address specific storage requirements. The current enrollment within the Anthony Wayne Pre-School currently has 150 to 160 students enrolled with more coming in towards the end of the year.

“We are just so appreciative of their donation, and working with Eiting was great. They made great partners,” Atchley said.

Eiting said their teammates come from the community, so this is just a way to give back to that community and take care of them.
