GREENVILLE — The Towne Squares Quilt Club will be presenting its 41st annual Harvest of Quilts Show on Sept. 27 and 28 in the Youth Building at the Darke County Fairgrounds. Show hours are Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Towne Squares Quilt Club is comprised of members from around the region. They have 42 members that support several charities including Sweet Dreams, Care House, Hospice and food banks. For several of the organizations they support, club members create and donate quilts.

Both old and new quilts will be shown by club members as well as from the community. A special Quilter’s Legacy Tribute will feature a collection from Mary Belle Wright. In addition to the quilt display, there will be door prizes, Vendor Mall, demonstrations and their famous Country Store. Please note that some vendors will be cash only.

The Quilt Auction will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. The proceeds from the auction will benefit several community food banks. Bid numbers are free and everyone is invited to join in on the bidding.

Admission to the show is $6 cash. Parking is free and the venue is handicap accessible. Thanks to community sponsors again this year, Ansonia Lumber and McCabe Painting for their support.

If you would like to show your quilt, they will be accepting quilts from the community for display on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 4-7 p.m., and Thursday, Sept. 26, 9-11 a.m. Their categories have changed this year. They will no longer measure your quilts – just tell them what category your quilt fits into – bed, twin, baby, wall hangings, vintage, miniature, miscellaneous, youth or vendor quilts.
